So while Mic is working and I have a sore throat, sardines in Moalboal will have to wait, I’ll post an underwater gallery from Balicasag snorkeling. There were a lot of small jellyfish which weren’t dangerous but still stung, ouch. We saw some nudiebranches and at the very end jumped into a school of jackfish, woopwoop! If you see them while diving, it’s even more cool because you’re in the middle of the jackfish ball! How cool is that?? Ps. I bought a deodorant in a baggie 🙂

Diving on Bohol can be very rewarding, especially on Balicasag island. It’s also one of the cheapest diving we’ve ever seen. If you like diving, this is the place for you. What we saw on our dives on Balicasag island, Bohol. Pictures from Go Scuba.

Diving is an addiction. We did our open water course in India, on Andaman islands 7 months ago and we have been on rehab ever since 🙂 It’s not the cheapest sport (it’s hard when you’re traveling low budget) but it’s just amazing. I’m kinda sad we didn’t do it in Indonesia, especially in Komodo national park (and all the mantas!) but hey, leaving that for the bucket list. We decided it’s that it’s time to refresh diving on Balicasag island, just off Alona beach (Bohol). I must…

Planning the ride around Bohol, we got the feeling that accommodation will be expensive. But it has been one of the cheapest in Philippines. We rented a bike in Tagbilaran for 400P/day, it could probably go a little bit cheaper (nr: 0920 873 1390, 0916 264 6041, he also works at the port). If you have your own motorbike it’s easy to roam around and there’s no need to be in the center. You can eat whenever you like and see all the sights on your own. There…

St. Niño festival is a big religious holiday all over, also in Anda. The children are preparing for it for many days and practicing their dance moves on the grass. There is also Miss and Mr Anda, oh yeah. We stumbled in this time on the weekend and the festival going in so there were more locals than usual. All the western tourists seemed to be hiding in the expensive resorts and fortunately there is a budget option in Anda lodge (400P/double fan). The beach is beautiful. Fine white…

It’s difficult to move with our big backpacks. Yes, we have an ukulele and a camera stand but still. Sometimes it’s nice to be more mobile and move around without all the extra luggage. So we rented a scooter in Tagbilaran (400P/day) and left our bug bags in the cheap Hats Inn (350P/night). We saw the amazing Chocolate hills and soent the night just outside of Carmen in Banlasan lodge (400P/night) and they have a pool. The weather was not so good so we had to make a…

We’re already on Bohol, munching Choco Mucho chocolate bars on the famous Chocolate hills. Take a look at our video with the turtles from Apo Island.
