We loved it!

Happy New Year! 🙂 We haven’t been posting and making pictures much because we feel so content here, in Port Barton. This is how a day looks: – 5.45: Mic slowly wakes up and goes to the beach to meditate and drinks his firs coconut. – 7.30: Mic wakes me up – 7.45: we drink organic coffee from Port Barton with our roommates listening to Pierre, the tattooed Swedish guy, talking about magic mushrooms. – 8.30: we go to eat breakfast with calamansi lemonade at the cute restaurant…

Green lush jungle, blue clear water and white sand. Small paradise beaches like the one from Cast Away (no Wilson, tough) :). The snorkeling is decent (if you’re not spoiled by Banda islands, like we are) and you see turtles feeding on the corals. There are several options for a day trip (700P) and you can even sleep on some of the islands. We really wanted to but in the end didn’t find enough people for the price to be friendly. 3,5 hours of driving in a van, last hour on the bad road with lots of mud and we arrived in this town that backpackers love so much. There’s no night clubs, no big bars, no shopping malls. It’s tiny! People are beyond friendly and so honest that you can’t get ripped off. You still find coconuts for 0,5$ and a meal with a drink and a banana for 1,2$. It almost feels like we’re on the Caribbean, with the palm trees and lights. People here love to…
